Study explores how differences in voice across gender, race, and accent shape perceptions of credibility, warmth, and group identity.
Building on some of our other projects, we consider how people respond to others based on their voices. In this project, we consider a range of voices - with different genders, race/ethnicities, accents, nationalities, etc. - and political and nonpolitical domains. We explore a range of perceptions of these voices, including their persuasiveness, competence, warmth, political ideology, group membership, and more.
